Dear alumni,

IREX encourages everyone to apply for Project Smile!

DEADLINE: Friday, September 30, 2005
The Project Smile Grants Program is a community development program open to alumni of the ECA-sponsored exchange programs. Eligible Eurasian alumni must complete their activities within Eurasia. All proposed activities must benefit local children.

Eligible project ideas include:
-Visiting and/or planning an activity in a children's hospital, school or orphanage;
-Planning a book drive;
-Organizing sport competition for children; and
-Conducting any other projects judged by the selection committee and/or ECA to be in the interest of program goals.
The maximum grant amount awarded to any individual alumnus/a is $250.
 Timeline:
-Applications received by September 30, 2005 - winners will be notified by October 28, 2005 and will be able to hold community events any time in the following 10 weeks (October 31, 2005 - January 06, 2006).
