Credit Sales Managers

Standard Bank are 'the emerging markets bank'. They were founded in South Africa and have a strong presence across the African continent, however they now use their emerging markets expertise in 38 countries across the globe. 

 

Standard Bank is very different from other banks in terms of its culture, size and growth plans. They are already established in many emerging markets ahead of most other foreign banks, and their relatively small size means they are more nimble than many of their competitors. They are a niche player in tailoring credit solutions in exotic sovereign and corporate debt in order to meet their high-yield diversified customer base.

 

Role

 

Standard Bank are now looking to bring in a number of post-MBA individuals to join in a Relationship Manager role within Client Sales. The products which they will sell include structured credit, customer finance and loan distribution. Customer service is a particular focus of the bank as a whole, and they are passionate about building close relationships with clients, and being flexible to mould and create bespoke products to the clients needs.

 

These people will spend 12-36 months in the UK, training in role and gaining experience of the bank in an established market. They will then transfer this credit sales knowledge to the frontiers of the bank in an emerging market in order to help grow the business.

 

Standard Bank are particularly looking for people from, or with knowledge of, particular emerging markets in order that their teams in those countries have more integrity, and their sales teams are able to build a closer relationship with clients. The particular markets they are looking at include, Russia, the Middle East, Brazil and Turkey.

 

Candidates

 

Standard Bank are looking for highly numerate individuals with strong quantitative skills, and a strong desire to build and grow relationships both internally and externally. They must also be flexible to travel, with the ambition to work in their home country within the next 12 - 36 months.
