DR SPEIR WILL TEACH MANAGERIAL ECONOMICS (REQUIRED COURSE) AND OPPERATIONS MANAGEMENT (REQUIRED COURSE). DR SPEIR HAS BEEN TEACHING AT AIBEC SINCE 1994 AND IS ONE OF AIBEC'S MOST POPULAR PROFESSORS.(JUST ASK YOUR FELLOW STUDENTS)

                          Financial accounting This course provides students with a thorough review of Accounting issues of importance to most organizations, such as Accrual Accounting, Bad debts, Inventories, Investments, Cash Flows and Ratio analysis. US GAAP and IAS concepts are emphasized. Tuesday-Thursday, 19.00-22.00. Arthur Franczek.

                           Managerial Economics Applications of microeconomic theory to business decision making including pricing, demand estimation, cost analysis, competitive and noncompetitive market structures. Monday-Wednesday, 19.00-22.00. John Speir

                            Operations Management  A survey of production-related topics with which all managers should be familiar, including inventory management, project scheduling, quality assurance and others. Tuesday-Thursday19.00-22.00 John Speir

                   

                      NEW Career Dynamics" is an experiential learning program for those who want to be more successful in managing their careers. The purpose of this course is to provide a forum for MBA students to develop and improve skills important for personal success in leadership and career management.  In this class, we'll be looking at people's careers, their dynamics,elements contributing to success at workplace.                   Second Summer Semester: July 2- August 19 
                   

                   Negotiations and Dispute Resolution:  This course covers the theoretical and practical aspects of negotiations and includes many case studies and exercises. A special feature of this course is that 4 to 5 Law Students from the U.S. will be students in this class. This creates opportunities for some cross cultural  negotiation exercises.                     Managerial Accounting Accounting for costs with applications to managerial decision making. This course reviews such issues as Cost Allocation, Activity Based Costing, Budgeting, Standard Costing, Just in Time Inventory and many other topics. Tuesday-Thursday, 19.00-22.00.                   Sales Management: This course covers both theoretical and practical aspects of sales management, including topics such as sales forecasting, demand forecasting, types of sales and other sales issues. It is planned that this course will have some highly qualified guest speakers on this topic.         AIBEc Faculty for Summer 2007

       Art Franczek (artf at online.ru, 373 6241): Art holds an MBA and MST from DePaul University and is a CPA. He has many years of experience as a Tax Manager for a major international company. He has taught at AIBEc for 7 years and has taught over 1000 Russian students. He is currently co-chair of the Customs Committee at Am Cham and has been an active participant on the Tax Committee for 7 years. He has written many articles on Accounting/Tax issues and has recently published a workbook on IAS Accounting and is currently working with The World Bank on a project to convert Russian Accounting to IAS.


      Daria Panina teaches at Texas A&M University, USA and does research in the areas of international management and international business. She received a Ph.D. in international human resource management from Rutgers University in the U.S. and a M.A. in political economy from Moscow State University in her native Russia. 

      Her research interests include international strategies of professional services firms, human resource management, organizational adaptation and organization behavior in the emerging economies. 

      Prior to joining Texas A&M, Daria Panina has worked as an HR manager, Head of Research in a leading international executive search firm, and a senior researcher in the Harvard Russia project in Russia and the U.S.A.

      Tom Nastas (tom at online.ru): Tom holds an MBA from Michigan State ( a top ranked MBA Program). He has many years of experience a Venture Capitalist in Russia and other emerging markets. He has several years of experience teaching marketing at Michigan State University.

      Vladinir Lissniak (vlissniak at pericles.ru 692-5188): Vladimir represented Russia in France for a number of years as a diplomat. He has experience in bi-and multilateral negotiations both in public and private sectors. Vladimir has conducted negotiation seminars for Baker & McKenzie and for other professional organizations. 

      Dr. John Speir(speir at mail.hartford.edu) Ph.D has many years of teaching experience at various American Universities. >From 1994 to 1998 he was one of AIBEc's most popular professors.
