The program provides full financial backing for participants interested in studying in one of eleven different areas: Business, Economics, Education, Environment Resource Management, International Relations, Journalism and Mass Communications, Law, Library and Information Science, Public Administration, Public Health and Public Policy.

 

During the program, fellows will be enrolled in fulltime academic coursework for up to two years, create and implement a project that benefits the local community during the first academic year and take part in internships related to their academic coursework.  The fellowship is fully funded and provides J-1 Visa Support, round-trip airfare from fellow's home city in Eurasia to host institution in the United States, monthly stipend, accident and sickness insurance, tuition and mandatory university fees, limited allowance for books, pre-academic English language training (if necessary) and a wide variety of alumni networking and training opportunities

 

Participants are chosen through an open, merit-based competition.  The conditions of the competition and application forms can be found on our site at www.irex.ru/program/muskie.  The deadline for the program is 5:00 pm, October 31, 2005.
